I have heard that Pottery Barn will be leaving Fashion Island due to lease issues with TIC. With Circuit City going away there, is Fashion Island going to face another downturn like it did back when Circuit City first moved in? Remember how that was controversial because Circuit City was too much of a "commoner" store to fit into FI? TIC only let Circuit City in because the economy was bad and luxury shops were tanking. Looks like we are heading back there. Is the TIC really forgetful enough to let PB walk?

I heard Pottery Barn was out of FI. But it is gaining a Dean & Deluca.

PB's operation at FI was faced with several difficult issues. The loading area was too far from its showroom. Remote stockroom personnel issues and inventory control were difficult to manage. The location was not ideal for PB's streamline operation. The full time guy at the stock room got paid for picking his nose all day. It was not the most profitable PB.
