Tankless Water Heater - Annual Maintenance Contractor Recommendation Needed

My question is, if you have a full home water softening and filteration system how often should you do this?

I was told every 5 years.

OK, so I did the tankless water heater flush and it was really easy. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say it was a 1. My 92 year old grandmother could do the job. Just thought I'd share in case there are any of you out there that are contemplating hiring someone.
