Soft close cabinets/drawers and dovetail - Worth it?

Hi all, I was looking at options and was wondering if the upgrade, which cost about $950 for all standard cabinets/drawers, is worth it.  I know it is something that my wife would like to have but was wondering what everyone else's opinion is.

If your wife likes it, get it.   

There are also many do it yourself retro fit options that you can do them later but not sure how much work is required to reinstall them in all those cabinets and drawers.

I personally don't care for it but it is a very popular option and many people opt for it.

I'd choose this upgrade in a second. Redoing cabinets is never easy so do it right the first time.

I wasn't sure the price difference but the soft close is a nice touch when we remodeled. Dovetail is a no brainer since it's actually more stable and recommended as a higher quality and stronger joint. Plus soft close is going to that extra plus if you resell, just another extra thing for a buyer and if you get to enjoy it yourself.

JIMHO, $950 for an upgrade to soft close is a no brainer.  Particularly if your wife already expressed a desire for it.

I vote: Yes. It's 110% worth it, in my experience.

Totally worth it, did them in both my kitchen remodels.  You can do it cheaper afterwards, just go buy soft close hinges.
