NY student accepted at all 8 Ivy League schools
By Associated Press, Updated: Tuesday, April 1, 4:04 AM
SHIRLEY, N.Y. ? A 17-year-old Long Island student has applied to and was accepted at all eight Ivy League schools.

Kwasi Enin of Shirley began hearing from the schools on March 27.

The William Floyd High School senior tells Newsday (http://bit.ly/1fJt9EU ) that he couldn?t believe it when ?the yesses kept coming.?

Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Yale and the University of Pennsylvania all said yes.

Kwasi says he thought, ?this can?t be happening.?

He scored 2,250 out of 2,400 on the SAT. That places him in the 99th percentile for all students taking the exam.

He has surpassed the accomplishments of some of his uncles and cousins who were accepted to several Ivies.

Kwasi hasn?t decided which college he?ll attend. He?s waiting to see what kind of financial aid he is offered.

MMM, actually I was thinking how come then Irvine (TUSD) Kids are not getting accepted in to any of the Ivy Schools with an SAT of 2290, 4.8 GPA, and extra curricular activity.  Irvine (TUSD side) is overrated?

Was this written by a Tiger mom?

My nephew won't have to worry about all of your guys college acceptance issues. He's in 7th grade, straight a's, top of his class in a town of 5,000. He wants to go to MIT or Stanfordc, nerd. Given that he's mexican he may just get in. Worst case he's a lock for any UC and USC.

My daughter scored 2390 on the SAT and one C out all AP classes of all A's she was not accepted to any Ivy school. Beware, students from Irvine must be beyond outstanding to even be considered.
Before her senior year, you should have transferred her to Century High School, she would have been a lock.

I like Jose already!

Although Irvine is great for a solid education. Top colleges sort out their Asian applicants by the city. 2390 is a great SAT score but there are many perfect score 2400 Asian kids who are class president, sport team captain and ROTC cadets and not having a blemish on their straight A's AP record. Irvine minorities have a great shot at the Ivies.

If this kid did this, it would be amazing and good for him.  Since it came out on April Fools day, I'm not 100% sure about this one.  :p

I saw a very familiar name on the young lady of the month list.. if so, congratulations :) Ivy or not, if she is determined to get ahead, she will write her own destiny.
