Neh. Although in retrospect, probably should have as we probably hit Olive Garden at least 2-3 times a month... it's the closest lower-end Italian place in Irvine.

Maggiano's is also a favorite spot.

I guess I'm half Italian... the stomach half.

@8leggedlover: What is your favorite pasta place? I hear the squid ink pasta at North is good.
 
Garlic noodles with roasted whole shrimp at EMC is pretty good.  Also the crispy shrimp chow mein from Sam Woo can't beat in price and taste.  All time favorite is seafood noodle at Trieu Chau on Westminster.

Not a fan of squid ink, usually too salty. 
 
Second irvinehomeowner, Peppino and Tuttofamiglia are the best Italian restaurants around Irvine, along with Il Fornaio, but the last one at a higher price.
Olive Garden is italian food the same way taco bell is mexican.
