Midterm Elections

The Caravans and MS-13 went to the same news dumping ground as did Roy Moore's accusers back in 2017. Sheesh You'd think a child rape victim would get a day in court, but post election it's all meh again.

As said in a movie long ago.. "Forget it Jake. It's Chinatown".

Antifa protesters chant outside Fox's Tucker Carlson's home, break door

A group of angry Antifa protestors gathered outside of Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson's home on Wednesday evening.

The anti-fascists group, possibly associated with Smash Racism D.C., chanted "Tucker Carlson, we will fight. We know where you sleep at night" outside of Carlson's Washington home, according to Fox News. In a video posted online, the group can also be heard saying, "Racist scumbag, leave town!"

Carlson's wife, Susie, was home alone at the time. He told Fox she locked herself into a pantry and called police.

The host of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" said the group broke his oak door and one person mentioned a pipe bomb, as heard on a security video.

?Here?s the problem, I have four children,? he told Fox. ?I never thought twice about leaving them home alone, but this is the reaction because this group doesn?t like my TV show.?

Ok but let?s not forget this troop deployment political stunt is going to add $200-300m to our debt.

Let?s not also forget the Koch brothers (plus Adelsons, etc) have spent billions trying to buy elections over the years. Steyer and Bloomberg have spent peanuts in comparison.

Do evangelicals (and Rs) really think getting to appoint a couple SC judges make it worth corrupting a Republic?

Btw it?s now looking likely all OC house Seats will turn blue. Even ca45. Tons of ballots left to count and the historical D lean on those has been holding so far. Sayonara Mimi.

from Twitter:

Latest update on uncounted ballots in California

Total Uncounted Ballots: 4,488,707
Uncounted Ballots In Orange County: 419,956

District #45
Rep. Mimi Walters (GOP): 99,639
Katie Porter (DEM: 95,602

District #48
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (GOP): 93,503
Harley Rouda (DEM): 98,259

Ca48 is over.

Ca45 - they counted 9k ballots today and Mimi?s lead shrunk by 2k. There?s prob 75k+ left to count in ca45.

Ca39 - similar trends, prob goes blue.

Sayonara Mimi ?  Love it  !!

Dems are on track to win 38 seats now . That?s a pretty big sweep and actually much better than 2006 when adjusted for the more difficult house map and the iraq war unpopularity tailwind contrast that to the strongest economy in a decade now .

I am actually very pleased that the centrist wing in the party won , Pelosi for all her flaws is a political genius ? ran the right people for their districts, allowed them to openly be opposed to her, and channeled money and resources properly.  The hard progressive wing didnt make much headway and eventually all came around. This is a pretty big achievement given how diverse a tent Democratic Party is compared to the monolithic older white base of republicans

The more I read details on what actually happened, Republicans have a tough slog ahead if they cant win back the suburban whites (these TI posters don?t count :) .

The results should actually boost people like joe Biden who can decimate trump in the Midwest and solidly turn it blue . Except Ohio which is a lost cause now with voter base turning even older and whiter with low diploma %s even within the Midwest .

Democrats are really lucky to have trump in the office ? he will be the final nail in the coffin for the extremism in the Republican Party .  I still can?t believe how he threw the house away by not focusing on the economy , healthcare and jobs ?

He had the perfect fortune of all the good stuff from his policies being front loaded (tax cuts , stock market, wage gains) while the bad after effects (deficits and possible recession ) were all back ended

I mean the xenophobes and evangelical nuts are always going to vote for you anyways , why not expand the tent a little bit at least .

Texas Democrats? biggest win on election night may have been the courts
Democrats flipped four major state appeals courts, toppling 19 incumbent Republican appellate judges.
It wasn?t Beto O?Rourke.

But in the sleepiest branch of government ? the judiciary ? Texas Democrats cleaned up on Election Day, flipping the four influential state appeals courts that serve Austin, Houston and Dallas. Democrats now hold majorities on seven of the state?s 14 appeals courts. Before Tuesday, they held seats on just three.

I thought mimi walters had already won.  I've never seen the absentee ballots change anything.  It is a surprise.
I voted all dem on my mail in when I normally vote all repub.

must be my fault.

Part of the Reagan Revolution was his big tent initiative. Reagan brought tons of Dems over to the GOP.  Reagan, a former Dem, famously said I didn?t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me,  meaning that Reagan?s political philosophy had always been the same while the Democratic Party turned hard socialist left. Thanks to Reagan the south flipped red and the hard core war mongers (neo-cons) left the Dems and joined the GOP (although some like Max Boot and David Frum) are apparently going back over to the Dems.

Trump can learn something from Reagan.  Trump can easily bring the Blacks, Hispanics, Asians over to the GOP because they have much more in common culturally with the GOP that the crazed leftist ideology of the Dems.

Trump received 29% Latino votes, 22% Asian votes an 8% African American vote in 2016. Not sure how he can "easily bring Blacks, Hispanics, Asians over to the GOP" unless the theory is he could not possibly do any worse.

People are still living in a fantasy world wrt trump, hallmark of personality worship cult . Remember the TI posts here on how he was making inroads into African Americans because of Kanye west ?

And now we have this clown of an acting attorney general who was already under investigation for a snake oil company by the FBI that he is going to oversee !  Where do they find these people .

Hard to believe immigrants can make it any worse. We are already behaving like a third world country with what?s going on , all in the name of ?owning the libs?

I for one welcome our new Liberal overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted member of this board, I can be helpful in rounding up others to serve our well-educated and cosmopolitan superiors.

To understand how meaningless labels are in the Trumpian era , you only have to look at this crazy headline here

?Steve King accuses Weekly Standard of trying to ?advance a Leftist agenda? ?

It's not a crazy headline unless you only see things through the liberal vs. conservative paradigm. The Weekly Standard has always had a globalist perspective and has never supported the likes of King, a nationalist.
This isn?t about the liberal v. conservative, this is globalist v. nationalist.
There are conservative globalists (like the Weekly Standard) and liberal globalists (like Soros), and there are conservative nationalists (like Trump) and liberal nationalists (like labor unions).

The only ?ist?  which works for trump is narcissist

You can distil every single action down to this logic - try it sometime , it actually works
