Help! How to obtain insurance policy?

I try to refinance my home, and need a proof of fire insurance policy. I check with my HOA(Condo), but they refer me to the insurance company, which online service wants to charge me $80 for one certificate. Does anyone know if we have to pay to get an insurance policy for a condo in Irvine? I appreciate your inputs.

For attached condos, the lender wants to see if the HOA fee pays for the lender required walls-in/betterment insurance (HO-6) via the master HOA insurance policy.  If it doesn't, then you'll need to buy a policy.
