While the memory is still fresh of the $700 billion bailout bill last September - you know, the one that if it wasn't passed, the world would end. Even though NONE of the funds have been spent on the purpose we were given when the bill was passed, the world has still failed to end.

Well, now we are being told that if we don't spend $825 billion to $1 trillion immediately, the economy will collapse. With such a dire need for "economic stimulus" for things like birth control and making artificial snow in Minnesota, you would figure that time was of the essence. That the massive spending program would start immediately.

Looking at the details of when money will be spent shows that 20.79% of the money will be spent in 2009 while the rest will be spent in 2010 and beyond.

So much for the emergency.

The only urgent thing I see here is the need to call your Congressman and let him know what you think of this BS.
