Buying new house with a "4"

While I was living in the '4' house, I spoke to my neighbor who owned the '8' house.  When he was renting the house out, he was approached by an Asian offering above the rental asking price because he wanted to live in a house with the number '8'.  Go figure.

Should I get a license plate on my car with all 8's?  Will all that '8' power then provide the luck of no car accidents or tickets ever?
