I was thinking any variation of independent, assisted, memory  care, or skilled nursing. Maybe it’s a grey area but I’d consider any independent 55+ apartments, without any amenities like meals and transportation and clinical care, to be “their own home.”

For those of you with elderly parents, how do you take care of them? Are the totally independent or do you have to provide for them in some way.

Do your due diligence on any real estate or escrow company you’ve never heard of before? Like anyone who claims to be CEO of a random company like AE Real Estate.

One thing I’ll throw out there. If you are trying to buy your forever owner-occupied home, do you really need to time the market perfectly? I would say buy and hold for the long term if you can comfortably afford it.
