'Wokeness' in IUSD and TUSD?

High school age is fine to have educational discussions about these controversial topics. Kids at that age are mature enough to have enough perspective and home education to make their own judgments based on what they hear. Maybe even middle school-aged are ok. Definitely not elementary school age though. Let parents instill the values at that age.
 
To answer your original question, I haven’t heard too much controversy about “wokeness” in local schools.

I feel like a lot of those concerns are really overblown by the media, because the media’s currently goal is to freak you out and piss you off, not give you a real accurate portrayal of what is going on.
 
Controversy does not exist in IUSD schools because most parents do not ask about the curriculum and the parent must choose to opt out when notification is not given.
