Some of my window blinds are old and falling apart, so I went to Lowes to buy replacements today.

First, they're sold in packs of 13. If you only need one, you have to special order or buy the pack.

Second, you have to cut the length yourself. Not too hard.

Third, unlike the old blinds you have that blocks sunlight, the new replacements don't block the light. What?

So now my window blinds look kinda zebra-ish in the afternoon...

Has anyone purchased the blinds or window dressing that they sell at Costco that you install yourself?

I recently bought online some roman blinds over athttp://www.blindsuk.net/roman-blinds.htmlthat I installed myself with no headaches. This store offers custom blinds and a next day delivery service, so you don?t have to wait a week or so for the order to arrive. They also sell curtains and other types of window dressings. Hope this helps

I've sold blinds and shutter in Irvine for the past 26 years. Costco is very expensive, many times 2-3 times more expensive than my company shutternation.com. Home Depot and Lowes also have prices higher than mine. We all sell the same blinds form the same vendors. Just a quick point brands like Hunter Douglas are high quality products but very expensive. If your buying standard blinds or shutters there are man other brands for 1/2
