What do u guys think of plan 2?

1235 sq ft, 1 bdrm, 1.5 bath. One car garage.

Selling at 324k, plus 5000 referral award (since I referred my gf) so final price is 319k. That's 259 per sqft. For a brand new condo in tustin.

I think you should also consider this is the last units in the last phase and last chance to buy new. I'm considering getting one as well.

That endorsement is enough to scare me off the reservation right there.

Just as in every past downturn, the least desirable units will fall furthest and fastest, and take the longest to recover.

While better than a 600sf studio, a 1/1/1c has a pretty limited market when it comes time to sell (no 2car couple, for instance), and so falls into this category.

For you, the rent will be $3,500/month.

I'm sure you will enjoy it sitting empty for months to come.

I am going to particularly enjoy pressing the submit button on this post.

i think that 300k for a brand new condo is not too bad. i've been looking at older ones for around 300k and they are rather ugly. but seriously, a 1 bedroom condo only has a capacity to house 2 adults. pretty cool for those in their 20's. but by the time you're in your 30's and thinking of starting a family, it's not so good anymore.

Quick update, a plan 2 just came back on the market for a September closing date. It's the last one (for now), and the price is in the range of 315K.
