Tim Russert dies of a heart attack at 58.

The world has lost an honest broker, and is a worse place without him. I can usually write pages on a subject I care about, but I'm currently unable to. I'm pretty upset.

Godspeed Tim. My heart goes out to his son, wife, and dad Big Russ.

He was the last fair political journalist. I was just stunned. I'm finding it impossible to imagine an election, or even a Sunday morning, without him calling people out on their lies, spin, and revisionism. The country lost a great man, his family lost a great husband, father, son, and I've lost hope for the future of political news.

I spent 15 minutes in front of the TV Monday morning watching the Today show when Matt Laurer interviewed Luke Russert.

His parent's should be proud. They raised a remarkable son. And I have a new hero. I wish I was that tough.
