We have some RVDT's (Radial Variable Distance Transducers) and other sensors from a French Company. There are not cheap (~5k each) and the lead time is 20+ weeks. We have LOTS of problems with them, from failing inspection to just "bad" units. Unfortunately we cannot get rid of these guys since they are essential to the entire system.

I have advocated replacing these units, but management has so far resisted.

They are a difficult customer to be around at best.

I was actually telling a buddy of mine about 6 weeks ago I figured that you would start seeing this behavior. Our country doesn't seem to have the guts it used to in starting to revolt against the complete mismanagement and corruption in our government and financial system but that's not the case outside of the US. It will be Europe, and I believe mostly Eastern Europe, that will get the ball rolling on a global uprising over the haves and have nots.

You can say that again awgee, just today they vandalized an RBS Branch and Police have warned Bankers/Finance People not to walk in the in the streets wearing Business suits for their own safety..

I saw the upset on Nightline last night. The protesters who broke windows were outnumbered 10:1 by photographers.
