So today dear daughter forgot her binder some place in school during lunch time. She searched, but couldn't locate it. When I went to pick her up, she said nothing about the missing binder, but as I parked in the garage, she started whining like a baby. I asked her if she went and looked for it, or asked if someone left it in the lost and found. She said she did all that, and now she was worried someone could mess up all her work, or even worse, write something bad in it. OK. So back we go to school to find it again, and I give her a long lecture on staying organized, being responsible and all that parental blahs.

We went with the school admin lady into the building, and what do we see? Hmm.. open lockers with textbooks. Text books without any names on the tables. Workbooks in the planters. A mound of sweaters and jackets in the playground. Several lunch boxes. Lo and behold! A backpack :-) We were able to find daughter's binder in her classroom, but, really, when and who picks up other kids' stuff? I guess it's ok to leave sweaters and jackets, but backpack?

This kids must really trust their friends!
