Steve Kerr is now the coach of the Golden State Warriors

Steve turned down the Knicks job and signed with Golden State.

Pros - choosing the Warriors:
Warriors have a better team than the Knicks. Knicks roster is old and not enough cap space if Melo signs with them.
Closer to family. Currently his family lives in San Diego.  Steve's daughter goes to UC Berkeley.
Press would not be rough as NY.

Cons - choosing the Warriors.
Doesn't get to connect with the great PJ.

I think Steve would have taken the Knicks job had GS not fired Jackson.

I would take GS over NYK too... more potential... just don't know if GS made the right move hiring someone who has never coached before.
