I spoke to the owner's wife this past weekend and she indicated that they are waiting for new kitchen hardware that should arrive in June-July.  They will discontinue selling baked pastries (!) and switch to mostly "no sugar added" chocolate products.

If you haven't been here, it's located next to Tustin train station.  Because this is actually a school the shop has odd hours (open Fri-Sat 10AM-3PM'ish), but you need to get here earlier for the popular items.  By Saturday afternoon a lot of good stuff is sold out.  I like their fluffy croissants, scones, and eclairs.  My daughter likes the "Financiers" soft French brown butter cookies (she thinks they're mini muffins).

Please note that they will be closed this weekend (05/13-05/14).

I'll need a new place to get croissants this summer  :(  If you guys have a favorite place please let me know.  I suspect that I'll have to go roam around Costa Mesa and Newport again.

Cream Pan is my go to.  Definitely try their strawberry banana croissant.

Their strawberry croissant looks really good.

The pastry shop at my company isn't too bad. I love the almond, strawberry, and blueberry croissants. And it's half price it's subsidized by my company.  ;D

IMHO the quality of the strawberry croissants has gone down since the pandemic. Still good but not great.

You should try some of the lunch dishes: katsu curry and onigiri (flavored rice balls).

That's sad news. Chihiro is really nice and the croissants here are top top quality. I think my second fav is Pandor on the Irvine side of Tustin Market Place.

Have you tried their classes?

Overall I think my fav place to get breakfast is still Dough Exchange in Santa Ana.

I've not had the opportunity to take classes there, but Chihiro is not going anywhere.  They're simply discontinuing pastries and switching to chocolate products only.
