Rescue Animal Shelter Benefit Fundraiser.

Hi All,

A family member of mine is throwing a benefit party on behalf of The Pet Rescue Center, a "No Kill" pet rescue shelter in Mission Viejo. The party is this Friday in Laguna Beach. I understand the tickets are "spendy" in this economy - $100 per person, but the restaurant is great - Seven Degrees,  desserts by Nothing Bundt Cakes, the bad will be hot - The Boogaloo Assasins, and the Silent Auction the stuff of legends. Here's a preview of the two "biggies":

1) 5 Night Stay in Paris, airfare for two, and cooking class at Le Cordon Bleu - starting bid $5,100.

2) Tour of the set of "How I Met Your Mother" and being a background extra during taping - starting bid $1,000

There are plenty of lower priced bid items. Last time I attended we bid and won a week stay in Palm Springs, peak season, in a 4100 SF Golf Course home for $2,000. Not a bad deal considering most rent for as much as $500 a day.

#9) 1 day surf lesson plus $100 Penguin Cafe certificate. (The skim boarding package (#21) is better, but I know I don't have the coordination to do that)

#48) Three hour sailing lessons, plus $50 Cheesecake Factory gift certificate for after sail dining.
