I know a family who lives in Northwood and rents a home for $2600/mo and sublets a room to a lady for $900/mo.

I know an Egyptian family in the Northpark Richmond American tract lost a very good tenant some years ago. They have been looking for another perfect fit tenant ever since.

bennyboy - can you share your ad?  was it hard to rent out or did it go fast?  did you put it on craigslist or another site?

I ended up renting it fairly quickly. I thought it would be more difficult, but it seems that there isn't many people looking to rent a room in the area. I listed the room on Craigslist and had a good deal of people email me, I took my time and ended up renting within a month.

I also did a poor job marketing the room. I didn't have a great picture of the home or anything just a shot of the empty room.
