There's this taco/burritos joint in Santa Ana near the corner of Bristol/First Street. I'd bought burritos there every now and then since the 80's. They're muy delisioso.

Well, last year they expanded by turning the hole in the wall into a restaurant. And I guess due to the recession, they'd introduced 98 cents tacos (prior, their tacos were $1.30). My wife and I tried today the new low-price tacos. Ughh! It left a nasty after taste. I guess you get what you pay for. Needless to say, we won't be back anytime soon.

P.S. don't go there after sun down. It's a mean neighborhood.

Was at Roscoe's Chicken in LA yesterday, saw a take-out special of 5 thighs for $6. Not quite $1 each, but pretty close.
