Not sure how many of you read OCReader, but Cameray had started a thread over there labeled "News from the Nest" which was chronicling whether this baby hummingbird named Sassy was going to survive.
Here is Sassy:

As it turns out Sassy died on 2/20/10, she was underdeveloped, her feathers werent growing out, she was taken to a bird rehabber but unfortunately it did not work out.
Here is the site where you can check out the live action every day:

On 2/25 and 2/27 Phoebe laid two more eggs. I guess they take 16-18 days to hatch, so any day now the egg will hatch. Notice I said, egg, not eggs. Today, a lizard appears to have damaged one of the eggs.
The video is here, Phoebe was able to get rid of the lizard, but looks like one of the eggs was damaged, which she removed from the nest.

Tune in to see the latest.
PS - for those of you who get the urge to go our and get a humming bird feeder, here is an excerpt from a hummingbird rehabber:
"Proper care of Hummingbird feeders takes a significant commitment on your part that needs to be considered before you start. Please note: By not following these instructions you could be responsible for giving Hummers Candidiasis (a serious and deadly fungus infection). This fungus condition coats the tongue and covers the trachea gradually suffocating the Hummer. Ultimately they die of suffocation, a slow and hideous death. Please do it right or don't do it at all."
The details on cleaning the feeder can be found here:
