Need some opinions and feedback from you all.

Need a replacement grill in my existing island.  The previous owner removed it upon moving out and now I am stuck with a 52.5" wide hole.  Been eyeing all the different grills out there and it seems like nothing will fit exactly the same size.  I can do the install myself, but don't want to take a chance and buy one and have it not completely fit.  A built in grill this size is not exactly cheap.  Does anyone recommend a contractor that is willing to take on this small project?  Thanks for your help.
 
The owner ripped out the BUILT-IN grill?!?!! Man. What else did he take... the kitchen sink??  ???

Wasn't this disclosed in the real estate contract?
 
LOL.....lets not take this topic on another direction.  We were aware of the missing grill coming into possession of the house.  There is no dispute in that aspect.  I simply need to solve my immediate problem, which is to fill up that hole and get it primed for the summer.
 
Just to clarify... did they take the whole unit?

I believe many of these grills have kits that will help with sizing. When we built our island, it was a metal piece we fastened to the opening and then the grill was attached to that.
 
Yes, the complete unit is gone.  Besides the opening, I can see the cinder blocks that make up the walls of my island and mortar and tile.  I was thinking of going smaller grill as an option but then will need masonry work and the counter top tiles will have to be redone since there is no way of finding exact match.

The cheapest way - have your real estate agent contact the other real estate agent to ask him what size and brand was the BBQ that was taken out. (Or even offer to buy it) This way avoids the hastle of you trying to figure out what size is that BBQ.
 
52.5" is a huge opening, you've probably already found out grills that size are 3k+.
Most outdoor grill stores do islands as well, they can probably give you a quote on modifying your island.
BBQ Grill Outlet in Lake Forest may be able to do it, I haven't used them for island work but they seemed to know their stuff.
Couple of cheaper but good quality brands are Blaze and Lion.  Beyond that AOG and Lynx, DCS, and then FireMagic.
bbqguys.com allows you to search by cutout size.
 
Thanks Wrigley.  I will look into those options.  I did search BBQguys.com.  They have a great selection.  Anyone ordered from them before, and if you did how was your impression of going online to buy a grill?
