My in-law's printer broke so we bought a new printer for them. Lo and behold the 2013 iMac couldn't run the wireless printer software. I'll have to take it apart, upgrade to SSD and install OpenCore later. But for now I've setup a Dell laptop for them.
The in-law's have extensive email archives in apple mail's local folders. After spending couple hours trying to export/convert/import mbox and pst files, and finding out that the new outlook with Windows 11 didn't support pst files... it finally dawned on me that the easy solution was to just create a gmail account, add it to apple mail, then just drag and drop the local mail folders under the gmail account. You can probably do the same with yahoo mail as well.
It takes a while to "upload" the emails and folders to gmail. Then when you add gmail account to outlook on windows side, it takes some time to "download" the emails and folders as well. Gmail comes with free 15GB storage which should be sufficient for most email storage. If you need more, I heard yahoo mail offers up to 1 TB storage for free.
