This is a traditional Japanese restaurant, not a sushi bar. I highly recommend reading the menu plus the flip-cards on the table before ordering. Skip the teriyaki bento lunch and go for the authentic stuff!

Grilled saba, agedashi tofu, marinated lotus roots, etc. Very healthy lunch.

Must return later to sample their other dishes. The Japanese lunch set is about $10, and more elaborate dinner dishes will cost more. Go to their web site and click on "lunch menu 2". Check the other stuff too. They have hot pot and kaiseki meal sets!

There's an interesting Italian + Argentina restaurant and deli in the same shopping plaza. They sell a variety of South American dry goods, plus a meat department and deli for hot foods. The meat pies are cheap at $1.75 each. Be careful when eating it, after they heat it up for you it becomes very juicy and will drip.

I see that no one told you that the most dangerous place to be is between me and grilled saba (mackerel).

That looks wonderful, Momo! We went here a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but don't venture that way often. We will really need to go back.

Had kaiseki there few months ago also on Oxtail's rec. Pretty spectacular when you consider it's a 6-7 course meal for $35. You need to call 3 days in advance if ordering kaiseki and they'll ask for a credit card since each meal is custom prepped.

I recommend trying the cold sandwiches in that Italian + Argentina restaurant (Villa Roma). Very special and yummy!

And my friends also like the Passion Fruit Juice Concentrate you can also fine in Villa Romma. It mixes in any clear soda, like 7-up or Sprite for a lovely non-alcoholic drink ? like an Italian ice ? or if you wish to add it to cocktails for a tropical twist.

Note the sansai and lotus root under the eel and salmon.

The container looks small but has a lot of sushi rice under it. Unless if you're really hungry, skip the appetizers.
