Irvine's Standard Pacific Corp. merging with The Ryland Group, creating 4th larg

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Irvine pacific built Cypress Village, and a good portion of Stonegate.  I don't believe they were in Woodbury (?) 

Standard Pacific is a separate builder, not related. 

What will be the new name?  Standard Ryland?  Ryland Pacific?  StanPacRy?
 
No irv pac in Woodbury.
So what does this merger mean for consumers? Probably nothing good.
