I think my son is still too young for basketball... do they really have a kindergarten league?

IHO: The City of Irvine offers "Half Pint Hoops" for ages 3-5 if you want to get your youngin familiarized. Then there are other basketball clinics that go up in age from there. Here is the link to Irvine's QuickRegProgram.

You don't see that in the 'hood.

Yup, my son is signed up to play Winter K-1st hoops. Fall baseball ends right before Thanksgiving and hoops will start a few weeks after. They have been playing on 8' rims but plan on using 6'6" rims for that age group so they can learn and use more natural shooting mechanics...

Wow.

So do they dribble and run plays? Are there rule variations? I just think at that age you'll see a lot of traveling and double-dribbling (and drooling).

I'm thinking it would be useful to have these links on T.I. as well. A good reference Ipop has put together here.

I've got all the hours back now that I was sinking into coaching two baseball teams so I can play in the forums a little more.

Wow, one tiny little announcement about closing down the forums and they appear out of the woodwork!

Ole IPO's been around --- but too busy playing FFL commissioner and smacking down proposed trades to be bothered with IHB...

So, we'll see you in the new place by Friday, right? BTW, thanks for doing a great job with the FFL.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the "new place"... I haven't even been lurking so this whole forums closing deal is brand new news to me.
