IHB Marathon Team?

small contingent of women in the OC that aren’t exactly built for long distance, marathon type running

I'll submit that they were built for it but instead they had to go and screw it up.

Very funny! All this time I thought the community shower comment is what hooked you. Going forward, I'll remind myself of the power of a hot dog and nachos over babes in a community shower.

after the half marathon last january my friends and i went to red robin for all you can eat fries. as my friend likes to say, "i run to eat."

I'm looking for a runner's group to join. I saw reference in this thread to the Cal Coast Track Club. However, I'm not looking for a training group. I more want a group of people that run for whatever. I don't desire to run more than 10k at a time. I've found these two groups:

Anyone have experience with them or something like it?

I switched my main exercise from racquetball to running a few years ago. Up to this point, I've run alone and in the mornings. I think I would benefit from relating with other people who share my hobby. I'm also thinking that running in the evenings might help me not get plantar so much.

Any thoughts?
