Last time we went we stayed at the Westin (was only $139 via Expedia) and was really nice but the parking was expensive, $40 per night. The nice thing was it was close to lots of places and we took public transportation (trolley bus) to the Wharf. For Golden Gate, we drove there when we checked out.
