A few days ago Lanser asked what people were doing with their home sale proceeds.........I did not post this there because of the unruly crowd........I started a company with about 100K of home sales proceeds. After a year of product development I am launching my first product next month.........a floating hot tub.

I'm hoping that my return on investment is better than the 3% that CD's are paying.

i dont have a boat, but if i did, i would probably buy one - that is a damn cool idea.

I went to the website but could not find a price - how much does it cost?

The initial price is $3950.00.....................................we have no idea how many of these things people will buy. We do know that it is a lot of fun and provides a very unique experience.

Yes, I like it too :-)

Is there any reason why you couldn't produce one with a real Hull and a small outboard motor so peeps wouldn't have to buy a Boat to tug it around? Or does that defeat the whole purpose?

Good luck with it in any case!

I suggested a trolling motor, but apparently the Coast Guard has to sign-off on it's seaworthyness(?) if it's motorized. Maybe an optional "accessory" frame where you could add a cooler or some other item after purchase. I could totally see myself cruising around Lake Havasu in a floating hot tub.

Here's the invention....

Now, who is the happy couple? This could be a new poll ! One thing is for certain....it's not me ! :)

We went out to Catalina a about a month ago wit a few tugtubs to take some pictures. We were pulling the tubs around with a dingy and the couple that owns the boat....."older couples dig it" let us take some pictures.............next time we do a photo shoot, I'll notify the IHB.

Forget marketing to older couples.

That will get you no-where fast.

C'mon with a name like ?Tug? Tub your focus should be on capturing a much younger demographic with plenty of disposable income, the Havasu crowd.

This would be a huge hit there.

Cut me in and I?ll help you market it.

First off, we ditch the old dude drinking cheap champagne.

Next we bring in my boy, Matt Leinart in the ?Tug? tub sandwiched by a group of drunk babes.

Chew on that, I?ve got plenty more and can throw up some pics and Powerpoint presentation as well.

ten - im not a market research expert but i dont think the young crowd really owns boats since they probably dont make enough money. I think if you market this to boat owners, by default you are marketing to older people.

That?s blasphemy and simply not true.

Plenty of young people with money out there.

Took Marketing 307 at SC though, which makes me an expert

Are we looking at the same picture?

A middle age loser with no physique that?s pale drinking cheap champagne with an ugly chick.

Good Luck trying to unload them

Come to think of it Graph fits that description to a ?T?.

Anyway, the ?Tug? tub is perfect for Havasu.

You and I both know, this won?t play with the Newport Lido/Balboa Island set.

Insert either myself or Leinart along with some hot drunk babes and Voila!

Home Run

We are not sure who will buy these hot tubs, we get a lot of interest every time we use them..........as for the next greatest idea.....my experience tells me that efforts are better spent trying to find customers.

tenmagnet,

Trashing nanowest's idea and product is a new low for you. While it's marginally funny elsewhere, your sense of humor is totally out of place in a serious thread. I think you should show a little more restraint.
