Gaja Moc in Lomita -- okonomiyaki run

It's been a while since I've been to Gaja in Lomita. This is the place where you go with friends to order Japanese okonomiyaki and grill it yourself on the hot plate. If you have no clue how to cook it yourself, you'd probably screw it up, but that's just part of the fun.

This was my first time dining here for lunch, and to my surprise I found the restaurant near empty at Noon. The lunch menu offered a "3 mini okonomiayki" combo special. I was picturing some small mini personal pizza sized things, but when the food arrived (I had the kitchen cook it), I was like O_O Could not finish it. By 1pm the restaurant was packed. Why I think this is a good deal: you can choose 3 different flavors/ingredients for your lunch combo. :) It's like paying 1/2 the price of dinner for 3 different okonomiyaki omelette's! Plus it comes with salary and drink (refills), you can also get a bowl of soup for 50 cents extra.

The owners opened a fast food place called Power Kitchen in Torrance. While dining at Gaja, ask them for the coupons for Power Kitchen.

Be sure to try the mini cheese cake sticks at the Japanese desert place next door. Also, to the right is Oumi Sasaya udon house:
