Framing mirrors?

We have one of those huge mirrors in our master bath and I want to put a frame around it to make it look nicer.

It looks like I can do it easily with moldings but I don't think I want to spend the time measuring, cutting, staining/painting and gluing.

Has anyone done this before?

Or has anyone used this company:
http://www.mirrormate.com/

They come up first using Google-Fu and it seems fairly straightforward from their video... even something I couldn't mess up too badly.

Pick up some nice baseboards from Home Depot or World of Moldings, use a miter saw to make the perfect cuts, and then use liquid nails to glue to the mirrors.  My dad did it with all 3 bathroom mirrors in my Irvine condo and it looked good.

I ordered one of these frames from Mirrormate for my huge master bath mirror (11 feet long).  It wasn't cheap but probably much less expensive than buying a framed mirror in that size.

It should come in a week or so, I'll try to post before and after pics.

Hehe... never responded to this but...

Easy to say when YOUR dad did it and not you!

Ya I don't trust myself with a miter saw.  Plus I want a simple square frame with dark espresso stain.  So I have to cut, then stain, then glue... What a mess it would be!

Finished this last night.  Looks better in person than in the pics but really does give a nice finished look to the bathroom.  Also price was right, I got this during their memorial day sale for around $240 shipped.  Not cheap but I'm sure it's much cheaper than buying an 11ft x 4ft framed mirror.

This is the frame I used:http://www.mirrormate.com/shop-by-price/-167/cherokee-espresso-walnut.html

If anyone has any other questions, let me know.

Very Nice. It added a nice classy feel to the bathroom. I have the same counter top color. How much did it cost you?

Thx.  Not sure the price of the just quartz countertop.  I bought my home as a "standing inventory" so it was a builder upgrade included in the overall price.

Looks nice. How long did it take to install? What is it secured with?

Not bad, took like 30 minutes to mark up the corners, glue the frame together and put the tabs in.  The frame comes with the glue and tabs but you supply the furniture pen.  If you get one, don't forget the pen part since you may see a hairline of unstained frame in the corner if you don't.  If you do it correctly you won't notice a thing.

After glued, you let it dry for an hour then peel off the super sticky adhesive tape that comes on the frame and just stick it on.  I don't think it will come off but I guess anything is possible.  Seems very firmly attached.
