Burglary in Westpark (video)

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Man, that home owner has some nice cars.

That GT3 RS and M4GTS are almost impossible to get and he got both.  That sucks for the home owner but at least these burglars didn't took the cars.

I feel bad for the homeowner but if you have nice stuff and bother to install security cameras, why not lock your cars? Especially the SUV on the OUTSIDE of your home with the garage door remote?!?! He should also install alarm sensors on all access points to his garage including the rollup doors.

I hope IPD catches this crew quickly.

Still a little Lovestruck by those cars! Wow...
I think most people feel comfortable with cameras around the house but this is why you probably need active monitoring with an alarm system. Lesson 2 always lock your car doors, ESP if they hold garage access into your home and are parked outside. And lesson 3 is probably to get a camera pointing out front with greater view access. Then they could have gotten a license plate.
These losers had everything planned out so obviously they had staked out the home prior and knew what was inside.

Maybe they had a key made (the kind you click that unlocks the car without physically putting the key in the door to unlock it) that unlocked the locked car that was parked outside.

I bet the residence already has a house alarm. The problem is most people don't turn  it on and they rarely would place a sensor on the garage rollup door. Definitely looks like they knew what they were stealing ahead of time.

burglars would be disappointed if they break into my house, all junk we're too sensitive to throw away, grocery bags galore :) , and of course 5 different kinds of internet cams spread randomly throughout the house

Video says the outside SUV was unlocked.

They would have had to get that from the owners because those keys can unlock a car from a little ways away. Could have unlocked it while in their vehicle as they drove up.

Hard to believe someone would have security cameras on their cars in the garage and then leave another vehicle in the street completely unlocked.

Lol. Yeah, I have a 20 gallon trash bag full of grocery bags in the garage, they're collector items now.  Imagine 20-30 years from now it's considered nostalgia on eBay.  Also more disappointment if they see all the other junk... old cord phones, router with 10mbps max, flat basketball, dried up paint, and plenty of worn shoes...
Inside the house they'd be treated with random lego blocks on the floor

Saw that video as well, he's well known in the car community.

Disturbing part of the whole thing was he was inside the house the whole time with his kids.  They were in and out within 5 minutes and many suspect an inside job.  By extension I saw his post on a forum and he was locked and loaded with semi's and wished he could've used it, but he literally had no idea.  If it wasn't an inside job, they said the same truck cased the home 5 hours earlier so BE Careful folks

Like many have said, it's possible the outside suv wasn't locked but I've heard burglars often use new tech that tricks the car into thinking the key fob is right there (extending the range) especially cars with comfort access/touch access.

Secondly, he already has for help but he'll be installing way better security cameras that have larger wide lens, as of now they have no lead right now since they have no license plate etc

crazy in westpark! stay safe Ti folks

It looks like the first guy had no gloves on. Couldn't get fingerprints on the door handle or somewhere in the car?

They looked surprised about the bikes, like, wow! Look at THIS! Icing on the cake guys!

And they must not have known there were cameras in the garage to start out. First guy never had his face covered.

He was home during the theft!?!? Wow, just wow!!! Those are very brazen thieves. I would definitely know if someone opened my garage while I was home--noisy garage opener to the rescue.

I wonder what color that 991 RS was.  Haven't seen any 991 RSs roaming around Irvine other than mine.  Man those guys had balls to pull that kind of robbery off at that time.  Hope those fockers get caught.
