Bike to Work

I have done my first commute to work via bike and it only takes me 10 min longer each way.

There are a few walking trails/ river trails I use so I don't spend much time on the street.



The morning ride I think is the best, the air is crisp and cool really wakes me up. (Especially since I am not a morning person)

The only down side (if you can call it that) is that when I get to work I have way too much energy. I have to walk around a bit before I sit down in front of my computer for the next 8 hours.

First day down, I would say overall a great move riding my bike over driving my car.
 
That's great Halfnote! You're right, it really does get you going in the morning and sets you up for the rest of the Day, I always find myself sprinting to the Lights when they're on green, sometimes they're just a bit too far away for me to make the green, if I don't make it I have to sit through the whole cycle and wait for the green again :grrr:



Now you've taken the first step there's no reason to stop...it won't rain for months now hopefully...

It would be nice if they made bike lanes like that, but if you like to eat, drink, or buy anything you still need the 405 to get things delivered. It would be supercool if they added bike corridors alongside the freeways though.
 
If that was the only way to commute to work I don't think people would be working so far from home. (Which would be really bad for Riverside)
 
Peter, the photo you posted looks like its taken from my bike ride on Sat :p

Halfnote, its not that far to ride from Riverside to here (less than 100 miles). I'm sure there are people crazy enough to ride that around here (PeterUK) :p

Negative sir, I think our weekend rides are much more scenic than the ride to Riverside. Although, climbing up the 241 would be quite a trip. :)
