Eyephone,
I took your comment from the Macro Analysis thread to a new thread since this is a different topic.
Georgia is now becoming the Hollywood of south destination for filming movies. I definitely seeing a lot more Hollywood films being shot here. Atlanta is ranked #5 behind LA and New York and two international cities for top primary filming locations.
Yes, Georgia is still a bible belt state and considered a conservative state compared to the West coast. It is not uncommon when I meet professionals outside of church, whether they are attorneys, CPAs, mortgage lenders, developers etc that their religious faith is Christianity.

And in a Film L.A. survey of primary filming locations conducted last year, Georgia was the third U.S. state to top the list, coming in at No. 5 behind only California and New York and two international locations.

On the heels of North Carolina passing its own sweeping anti-LGBTQ law, Georgia is facing increasing scrutiny for a religious freedom measure ? one that critics argue could allow the same kind of discrimination as North Carolina's law.
The bill was recently passed by the legislature. But as it awaits a signature or veto from Gov. Nathan Deal, it's already facing intense criticism and backlash. (It's unclear what Deal will do.)
Recently, Disney and Marvel threatened to stop film production in Georgia (the state has become a hot spot for filming) if Deal signs the bill into law. Various other companies ? including Apple, Dell, Time Warner, Comcast, Sony Pictures, Lions Gate, and Starz ? urged the governor to veto the bill.
