Holy shit, that's exactly my philosophy too.  'Great' Asian minds think alike.  ;D  I have switched 4 jobs in the past 8 years average 2.5 yrs per job and the pay and 'respect' goes up each time.  It is real funny though to see the manager's face when you are about to leave.  LOL.

I had a Chinese manager scoff at me and go "heh, are you serious? right now?".  I had a Vietnamese manager go "well, i'm disappointed...I ask that you stay atleast a month and not 2 weeks". <-- and put their offer in risk of retraction?, yeah fuck that.

Then the white managers are more like 'wait wait wait, let me make one phone call to the V.P., don't do anything, I'll call you right back!"

Back in the day, people use to work 1 place and then retire. Now days to get a big pay increase, got to move to another place. Also, with recruiters, they play a part. Lol
