Life Time Fitness in Irvine, California

Pool has been empty but I joined fairly recently so I haven't been a member long enough to see the summer. The on-site cafe is a great amenity. It is actually a little bit less healthy than I would expect. There is in fact a bar with alcohol where people sometimes hang out but it's not really a...

Life Time Fitness in Irvine, California

I'm a member at Lifetime in Irvine. My membership fee is similar to what you quoted, with an extra $75/month for a kids club membership (unlimited babysitting up to 3hr/day). While it is really expensive, I have had motivation issues going to the gym in the past. My opinion is that the most...

    Retail Openings and Closures

I'm much more concerned about freshness and quality over price, to be honest. I'm hoping that the new Irvine location will be a more premium, actually fresh offering

    ICE or EV?

Too bad we don't have nice walkable streets with low speed traffic in any reasonably sized city in USA/Canada.

Oh this is pretty cool, looking forward to it

I'm still surprised that He's Noodle Zone randomly closed. They seemed to be doing better than C Fruitlife.

We had Everspring. It was...fine. The owner was very friendly and is clearly trying, and I am willing to pay more for fancier orange chicken ($18 it seems), but it just is nowhere as good as the fancy $20 orange chicken at Meizhou Dongpo.

I liked Tenori at Hangar 24, glad to know it's here in Irvine as well. It's not fancy food but everyone in our family seems to like it.

I've been to Koi Palace in Daly City as well as Palette in Ghiradelli Square. It's on the pricey side and I'm not exactly excited to go, but definitely an improvement over Wokcano and nice to have more options.

Is the middle/upper market still soft in terms of demand?

2025 Top Public Colleges & Universities

Honestly you could just do the same concept online by having your kids attend something like Western Governors University. But I suppose you don't want to give up the brand either ;)

Lots of Americans want tariffs too, so I wouldn't exactly say this is all Trudeau.

I tried an Indian fusion place yesterday called Maast Indian. It is like Taco Bell x Indian - crunchwraps, burritos, quesadillas made of paratha, and queso. My wife liked it quite a bit.

Newer Irvine listings with crazy WTF asking prices from equity sellers

Hopefully we see more housing inventory of varying types in the future in Irvine. It is so difficult for our early career employees and to support different levels of income diversity.

Seems like Evergreen is sold out but I'll go check out a Magnolia model home sometime. I am more looking for remodeling inspo than to actually buy a new tract home, haha

What's an example of a home with really nice upgrades and design features?

Making $150K is considered 'lower middle class' in these high-cost US cities

Personally, I wish there was more income diversity in Irvine. I know lots of people here want (and I personally benefit from) house prices to go up but the COL is insane for new early career people these days compared to decades past.

Are the test items not available on the app? That's annoying.

How come UCLA does not offer an undergraduate business degree?

I went to UC Berkeley and the career services were minimal. I found my internships the old fashioned way (networking). I think Cal is a great platform with a lot of opportunities, but with very little handholding. BTW the business courses at Berkeley were extremely easy once you got into the...
