Regarding Toll brothers proposal, although I?d still recommend a K-8.

I drive around the area frequently and have pretty good knowledge of the community although Irvine is home.
I'm just an advocate of community involvement and schools being located near the newly developed communities. I believe Toll Brothers has harmed its buyers by not using its influence to...
I personally like the ability to walk with my children to school, but a short drive is ok. The problem is the rest of the parent population in that area driving their kids too.
All I am saying is that IUSD offers schools within the neighborhoods and BR (Toll) messed up by not advocating for a...
Personally, I think some of the BR properties and amenities are great and we would buy in BR if it weren't for one thing. We can have our elementary school aged kids walk safely to their school in Irvine. There is no safe way for kids to get to the elementary, intermediate, or high school zoned...
This comment combined with a local elementary school versus elementary school outside of immediate walking distance in SVUSD. Will BR demand a new school? It appears people are spending the money, but not spending the time to share their opinions with the board.
We'd choose OH3 over PS any day if given the opportunity. PS really changed things when their retail was rezoned to the elementary school a few years ago.
I won't disagree with you SoCal, but that's where more families need to show up at school board meetings and make their case. I agree, the growth within the ETHS boundary will be exceptional and Trabuco will add the equivalent of one teacher due to conservative enrollment projections. What the...
SVUSD is experiencing declining enrollment so Toll Brothers will need to significantly look into their funding plan besides builders fees in lieu of MR. This would continue to populate ETHS which is experiencing quite a revival.
Drove by Parkside today and really wonder where the kids can go due to two busy streets and schools out of reach. Toll really needs buffered walking/bicycling paths and a pedestrian bridge to make these homes family friendly. Otherwise, the fast moving traffic is too dangerous.
I've been pleased with Costco purchased tires, but always suggest making an appointment for rotations. Otherwise the line will be hours. They will retorque without waiting though. A caution, however obvious. You still must align the tires elsewhere.
After knowing someone who owned a 2bed/2bath condo with four floors, I would strongly recommend against it. It's great if you are renting out one room, but walking the stairs gets old really fast.
It would take time, but I would build an underground parking lot, the next floor would be the storefronts, followed by urban style flats on the second floor. Obviously a huge investment, but it would provide built in customers for the shops and a few less car trips for the residents.
The last thing the developers want is an "empty" park and soccer will absorb every available field...if allowed. I think there is a level of insecurity to have open space where families can sit and relax, throw a ball, etc.
I'm still a fan of walking, cycling trails with some type of lake to...
Compleletly agree. It's about $6,500 per year at a CSU. Yes, there is more of an experience to live away from home, but if it's about saving money, then it's a great deal to commute.
Do we know if the southern portion of District 5 (and 6) will have the same Mello-Roos since it is zoned to SVUSD? That district will most likely not consider a school for these residences as they are not even discussing a school for Baker Ranch, which had developer fees paid in one lump sum...
Most people are searching for new properties in Irvine, but what about searching for a single family home in Woodbridge?
The first negative is obviously age of the property, but would the positives of small community parks and no Mello-Roos make it worth considering over the newer areas?
What...
