    They'll get you if you use the credit card for purchases. They apply any payments to the minimum interest which in this case would be the check. So then you end up carrying a balance on your 20% interest credit card until the convenience check balance is paid off.

    My front yard landscaping is maintained by hoa and they used a drip system. Every once in a while you'll get caps that blow off the drip and there's just a stream watering the concrete instead of the plants. Unless you're around when the system actually turns on, you would never know it was broken.

    Stacked/attached condos have some restrictions on flooring. But it's not THAT difficult to change later. Generally the installer has to be insured and the flooring has to be approved (adequate soundproofing, etc)
