Good thing you can still afford to keep them, until you start downsizing the house in retirement!

This is a good indication that you can let go the stuff :P People tend to hold on to things much longer than they really need them.

Should I go with IP in house lender OnQ?

We also did close on time last week with OnQ and with no complaint, everything went very smoothly (they also made one mistake on one page of the loan doc where we had to resign but did not affect the closing). I actually like their staff better than the VP, as they are both responsive and...

Postal service in new development neighborhood

Thanks for the feedback, postal office is my main concern at the moment for general mails, I would usually know Fedex and UPS shippings ahead of time to arrange delivery instruction. As for Google Map, right now the street name is shown as planned when you zoom in (with dotted lines), does...

Postal service in new development neighborhood

Hi all, Just want to get a sense of how post office is getting up to date on the new development addresses, since they are generally not searchable (yet) on Google map (and any other online services). If I'm expecting some important mails to come in after I move to a new development...

    COX v. UVERSE

I heard all the goods about Verizon and bads about ATT before we switch the wireless provider, and I can't say that Verizon is dropping any less calls then ATT did, and the reception is particularly bad along the 405 where I commutes daily...not to mention to poor coverage in most of the Irvine...

    COX v. UVERSE

2/3 of the speed would still be double my current quoted DSL line speed lol, which I'm also only getting 2/3 of the speed anyway :) I've heard from friend saying to stay away from FIOS though...

    COX v. UVERSE

FTTP you mean? I thought FTTP (in new neighborhoods) is supposedly *better* than FTTN, according to Wikipedia at least, or like jmoney said, it's more a marketing tool than anything else...

    COX v. UVERSE

I guess my other question for existing UVERSE users, are you getting anywhere close to the quoted speed? Is new community (Stonegate in this case I'm asking) going to be on FTTP, where distance to the box should not be a factor? How about reliability?

    COX v. UVERSE

Cox is expensive though...internet alone is like $62 for 25Mbps ($49 for only the first 3 months...not really a deal). I don't really watch TV that much, right now I have only 6Mbps DSL with no TV subscription, with kid watching Netflix some of the time. I guess as long as I don't stream 1080p...

    COX v. UVERSE

The current UVERSE promotion seems to be a good deal, $59 + $7 monthly rental = $66 monthly plus a $200 prepaid card, which includes U-family with 1 DVR, and Max Plux 18Mbps internet for a 12 months contract (see attached). Anyone has a better deal than this? I currently have standard DSL and...

Loan Shopping Advice for 30yr Fixed Loan

Sam, since you got a lower quote from BoA, why don't you ask OnQ to match the quote if you like them better, and with the benefit of closing guarantee? I think it's definitely worth the $1000 credit for the 1/8 rate reduction (vs buying point for $3600). I did contact SGIP recently to get a...
