Cycling on the street can be dangerous, but I gotta say, PCH near Crystal Cove has the most gorgeous views. :) IMO, you do really have to be careful when riding on streets. It's best to go with a few other people.

You definitely see a lot of people on the mountain to sea trail during weekend mornings (Sunday mornings are pretty busy). I also see more riders out on Laguna Canyon road in the afternoons.
