From what I understand, the thing conditioners do that softeners don't do is remove some chemicals, namely chlorine, chloramines, and lead. RO should remove those things for drinking water, but whether you're concerned about those things like during bath/shower is why you would get both.

For those with experience with I-bonds, can you redeem(withdraw) partial amounts from your bonds? For example, if you purchased $10k in I-bonds, can you withdraw just $2k at a time? Or do you have to withdraw the entire $10k?

I agree that at that price difference, it's not worth the risk going with Tesla. Depending on how you value your time, you'll have to act as your own project manager. There's a chance your install may go smoothly and on time, but the chances of that NOT happening is higher with Tesla imho...

I feel the original list price was really under market. 51 Decker down the street is listed at $1.25m, granted it's slightly bigger but still 3bd. $700/sqft is the new Eastwood price target.  ;)
