    San Marino

btw, i sometimes think we give too much credit to people who live in san marino homes, esp when we're talking about immigrant families. a majority of them have no idea about the special character of their neighborhood. i would bet money that they don't know the difference between their 1920's...

    San Marino

i spent the early chunk of my life in san marino and family background is similar to what bk just mentioned above. my parents decided to move out of that area though because the chinese (more specifically, taiwanese) community is an awfully small world. we had several relatives that lived...

Tea House in San Juan Capistrano

don't bust on momo - there's nothing girly about eggs benedict. a runny egg covered with rich, artery-bustin', hollandaise sauce is pure marlboro machismo. yum!

Super nice guy- invited us to visit his restaurant in Chicago but unfortun we've never had a reason...

Had kaiseki there few months ago also on Oxtail's rec. Pretty spectacular when you consider it's a 6-7 course meal for $35. You need to call 3 days in advance if ordering kaiseki and they'll ask for a credit card since each meal is custom prepped.

Have you read any good books lately?

Anyone read Lost Symbol yet? I picked it up the day it was released and still haven't finished it, mostly because it's really failed to draw my interest. Enjoyed almost every other Dan Brown except for Deception Point.

    Retail closures in Irvine

I've noticed the several new temporary tenants at the Spectrum. There's a Taryn Rose outlet, Toys R Us outlet, and of course the huge Halloween costume store where Fox Sports Grill used to be. Never a good sign when landlords have to resort to these type of tenants, but especially bad sign...

Explosion of Commercial RE signs in the Spectrum area

because those other expenses can be significant, it's often useful to calculate an alternative valuation accounting for those recurring capital expenditures. it's no different than when IHB refers to TRUE cost of ownership for a residential property. Ast Val = ( NOI - CapEx ) / Cap Rate

WOW! USC has made a huge comeback in college rankings, beating University of Michigan, Could UCLA be next?

that's a great story... two things jump out at me though... the first was probably unintended and contrary to what i think you're getting at - but you said your company was comprised almost completely of MBAs. therefore it does suggest that your best odds of getting your foot in the door is...
