I never understand renting out a room to others in a million dollar home. I mean, no offense, if you can't afford it, buy a $700K home or condo. Rent out a room in a million dollar home sounds weird.  You defeat the purpose of owning a million dollar home.

Looks like very few quail hill houses out for sale. Now I start to look at mendocino. I actually like the location of the quail hill condos close to the shopping center. But I hate the floor plan of those condos. Maybe I got addict to the Great Room idea by IP.

I like quail hill too. Not too many for sale now. Even the condos, the floor plan is rather odd too me. Maybe I have seen too much IP plans.

So what did you buy? I am debating among Nobuy, quail hill, stonegate, lambert ranch, and even the San Marino in Woodbury Never own a house before, a little bit overwhelming and confusing. If I told you I made much more than that, you must be thinking, this guy is bragging,  ;)

I was checking last weekend. Start from $928k, typical upgrades of past customers are $120k - $150k. So the field is over $1m already.

You didn't count the opportunity cost of your million dollars.

Buddy, I thought you are from Orange County. a 2BR detached SFR cost $1M even in stonegate. Maricopa plan cost you $900K easily. With all the upgrades, backyard, should be well over $1M.

Thanks, Guys. Glad to see many like minded people here. I just figure buying a million dollar home with all the property tax crap, I am effective lift my monthly rent from $2000 to $5000. I keep asking myself why I would do that.
