We just wanted to get as many people interested in the house.  Most people will do a search based on price.  We didn't want to eliminate potential buyers who set their search limit to $750k.  Given low interest rates, we figured if buyers loved the house, they may stretch themselves a little...

We have accepted.... now we wait anxiously for COE!  I feel really good about selling instead of renting.  Will update everyone w/ the final price if/when everything goes through.

My name is Scuba and I approve of this thread.  I hope this home finds a good owner.  It's been our baby for the past 5 years.  We've had 4 people come by and look at it since it was listed around 2pm yesterday.  This is our first time selling a place and it's interesting to come home knowing...

To update everyone.. I've decided to sell my place and have enlisted USC's help.  Didn't make sense for me keep the place for negative cash flow (assuming I have vacancies).  Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Yea I saw that too. Try searching for Section 8 on Reddit and you will find some horrific stories as well (granted most stories were set in middle America).

A family approached me if I would accept section 8 vouchers.  I had to do research because I've never heard about this, but I guess the trade-off would be getting guaranteed rent subsidized by the government at the expense that I may get. low quality tenants. I will also most likely not likely...
