    Landscaping for new construction

My home is 2 years old and it is still settling inside and outside. Drywalls are cracking in many places and my front steps, cover by pool coping, is tearing away from the house like a glacier. I can't even get it fixed before it stops moving.

    Hail in Irvine

Speaking of the beige homes, I'm seriously considering replacing the white baseboard around the house. I'll get a chance to hide the speaker wires too. Any suggestions?

    Happy Chinese New Year!

Allow me to narrow the cultural gap.  The big red character (not the English ones) means Fortune/Luck. The snake part on the left, in its original form, means Clothing. On the right hand side, the top bar/dash, together with the square immediately beneath it, means, One Mouth/One Person. The...

Couple found dead in Irvine apartment parking structure

Sorry for being so selfish but does this affect Irvine's zero crime rate? The killer is from LA county so it shouldn't count, right?

    Multi-Family Properties

I wouldn't want to live in close proximity with tenants. It is best to keep it at a professional level. If you really want to do it, engage a mgmt company handle the leases and pretend you are not the owner. Otherwise, be prepared for all the little frequent requests from your 'beloved' neighbors.

Which credit card do you use the most?

Amex the name sounds nice. We charge it whenever possible to save the hassle of managing all the credit card bills. Last year we got a handsome rebate and foolishly we included that in our taxable income. I got a copy of my tax transcript from IRS a few weeks ago and realized that we shouldn't...

    Retail Openings and Closures

The Chinese, Nam and Korean eateries have a few things in common and the chief of which is the dining experience. Food quality varies unpredictably, service is next to none existent and you can't even buy/bribe/tip to get any comforting friendliness. I dont expect a maitre'd at the door to take...

    Retail Openings and Closures

Don't do it there. There is already a Lollicup joint and you don't want to compete directly. Go boldly where no Bambi has gone before, such as Woodbury town centre.
