    Maybe j-box is the wrong term, but there is a little box for the pendant light wiring , that box is screwed to a block screwed to the framing.  I wasn't replacing can lights with pendant lights, it seemed to me they would be fine near each other.

    I'm definitely apprehensive about this problem.  To be fair things have been going pretty smoothly and they say that the wheels are in motion to do something about it.  Hopefully things turn out fine and that will be that.

    if the builder is IP you can use their online tools to lay out your electrical upgrades, but that's only during stage 2 I think.  The diagram is a not as specific as a blueprint, just a simple plan view that you can drop your electric items on.

    Good advice, I would hate to come home every day and be reminded of the mess that was made. They are j-boxes for pendant lights over the counter.  They had to be moved so as to not conflict with standard kitchen can lights, but when they were moved by the builder they aren't even centered in...

    i did the dusty show walk and about a week or 2 later the drywall went up,i'm pretty sure they are the same thing.
