The biggest premiums will be the villages closest to the coast and have hills.  The Turtles and Quail Hill.  The rest are just personal preference.

I know these stats are for SFR's but do they also include detached condos that are very often listed in the MLS as SFR's?  I know in Turtle Ridge the only SFR's are in the Summit.  But they have large detached condos in Canyon's Edge that are over 2300 sq ft that are much cheaper at around...

After looking at some houses in the cupertino and palo alto areas, I am seeing prices of $600/sq ft.  Is that right?  That is crazy!  And these houses are older than dirt (like 1940's).  One would need to get paid twice as much compared to Irvine to afford those.

How many rich people can a select few companies produce that would prop up the housing market for an entire region?  Is the overall job market that much better than Irvine?

Where are the good areas in Palo Alto?  She will work in Redwood City so that might be closer for her.
