Oh I see...so this is only applicable to the City of Irvine then.  How about guard gated communities in Newport Beach/Coast or other cities?  Are  pedestrian and bicyclists restricted?

If this is true, what would be the point of living inside a guarded gated community and paying at least double or triple the HOA of a non-gated community?  Why should anyone pay extra for this false sense of security, privacy? 

So only people living in Irvine that pays mello roos will be allowed to enjoy the great park.  that seems reasonable.

I don't think this is correct.  if you don't live in Northpark, the guards will stop you from entering.

The park should definitely have an entrance fee so that it can be continually maintained like all of the other HOA communities in Irvine. 

They should make all the basketball courts only "half courts" with the option of converting to full courts for only City of Irvine approved league games (e.g. Irvine Youth Basketball League).  This way it keeps all the riff raffs away.

I really hope that is not the case.  It does not make any sense why TUSD or IUSD would want to chop up a community like the way it is currently drawn out. Everyone on the Gated Grove side should go to TUSD and everyone on the non-gated side should go to IUSD.  This way it keeps the community...

I wonder if people who buy in Strada and Terraza will be given the option to either attend TUSD or IUSD.  That would be a very nice option to have and would greatly increase the pool of potential buyers (especially if potential buyers already have kids in either TUSD or IUSD schools).  I really...

I agree.  IUSD, TUSD and the Irvine Company really need to sit down and make this easy.  Everything on the right side of Culver = IUSD.  Simple.

What an eyesore.  It just looks out of place.  Glad I didn't buy here.  We'll just have to wait to see how "softer' the looks will be in a few years.

If IP was really smart they would definitey do 10ft-11ft ceilings for Strada, then buyers would feel and understand why they would be paying more for these homes. 

I might if IP builds these with 11 ft ceilings.  It makes huge difference.
