Does anyone receive "refund 66% ~ 75% commission from redfin or BuySide"?

I think either of these two are good. I will use them to purchase a home. They are more legitimate than other agents trying to do the same.

However, there is a lot of legwork involved in looking at properties.

I've used buyside to put in a couple of offers. they are great, however you have to do most of the legwork. their website stinks.

redfin is a lot easier to use.

hey graphrix,

don't know if you remember but I mentioned these guys about a year ago. I met them at a foreclosure auction and tried to purchase a property from them. Pretty interesting folks. Pacific Legacy has been doing this for years.

    Do Open Houses sell homes???

Just wondering what the verbiage preventing open house info in a list was (not an agent, just curious).

I've run across a number of listings with open house info embedded in the listing description. These are agents who have been around for a while.

    Do Open Houses sell homes???

I have put 2 offers on homes I've seen through open houses.

The problem with open houses is the way they are marketed. Many agents don't take advantage of the internet and the tools it offers. Editing the listing description to include information about the open house dramitically...

Is there a FB/FF Real Estate Story Behind the Montage Shooting?

graphix,

they could have setup a shell (a partnership, etc) and used that name as the buyer. Take a look at pacific legacy real estate, they buy properties in trusts and you have no idea who the real owner is unless you get the underlying trust documents.

    Looks like more fraud

If anyone has the resources, take a look at the previous sales (2005) for 5931 kingsbriar in yorba linda and 5762 furnace creek rd in yorba linda.

Both bought by the same person, 100% financed and both bought from the same seller. first house ended up at an auction, 2nd one is in...

Same company as BuySide, which I am a big fan of. With regular FSBO, there was little exposure to MLS. Iggy's posts on MLS.

    Seller Concessions

Hi All,

Wanted to see if any of you have had any experience in getting concessions from sellers. I've heard that even though prices do not show significant declines, sellers are easing the transactions.

Realtors have said sellers would be willing to pay closing costs...

    Possible Fraud? - 92602

Speaking of high school dropouts, one of our family friends drives a ferrari. The guy is a mortgage broker, dumb as a door knob. To top it off, bought a $2M house 2 years ago. He was pulling in close to $200k. I went to school and got a degree and am working hard to save for a downpayment...

    Possible Fraud? - 92602

Just wondering what incentive the brokers/agents would have to prevent fraud. Their livelihood is based on selling and moving properties. I realize in the end it hurts them by having a weak market, but why not game the market as long as possible.

Forclosures in Irvine - ZIP 92602

I believe they buy properties listed on the MLS. They have atleast 4 properties in the 92602 with Notice of Defaults. I'm assuming they'll likely end up as short sales or foreclosures. One is up on MLS as a short sale now.

Forclosures in Irvine - ZIP 92602

Seems like a lot of fraud going. My other post shows a couple of houses purchased by the same person. Additionally, her sister and husband/partner show up on the 92602 foreclosure list separately.
